It
has come again: the tremendously dramatic time of year where the scientific
part of our epic minds come to life! The Sleek Geeks Science Competition arises
once more! The time when school students form teams of formidable power and go
head to head against each other in a battle for fame and fortune. The
victorious team will be presented the ultimate prize – a whopping two thousand
dollars and an incredible trip to Sydney.
This
breath-taking competition is held Australia-wide, and it finishes by the end of
the first term. It is a ferocious
contest that will test the limits of its contestants, and they will fight
relentlessly for final victory – only the truly devoted will go to the extreme
to achieve success, because they are in pursuit for excellence, fame,
fortune…and much, much, more.
The
teams, consisting of no more than four people, are required to dig down, deep
into the depths of knowledge and research a scientific concept or theory and,
somehow, explain it in an understandable way in the form of a video lasting no
more than three action-packed minutes. It will consume the energy of the
contestants. It will sap the very strength straight from their mind and body
like a toxin of some sort running in the blood.
The
contest will be tense. It shall be interesting. The contestants are preparing
for the great battle ahead. Adventure awaits and as with all adventures, there
is cost. But the most important thing that matters is that the contestants, no
matter what they do, they have fun along the journey and enjoy the process. The
great clash of scientific minds will come by before we know it. The competition
starts now...
