Congratulations
are in order for two members of our class. Well done to Bella, who was highly
commended for her poem ‘The Ballard of the Wattle.’ A beautiful poem inspired
by Wattle Day.
Furthermore,
well done to Amos who was the winner for his age category with his poem ‘The
Weavers.’ A beautiful poem made of 13 rhyming four-line stanzas, which is a
tricky concept within itself. We are also immensely proud to announce that Amos
was the overall winner of the competition which was open to the ages of 7-25.
The ceremony was a celebration of wonderful, creative young minds from all over
the state, creating works of art in the genre of poetry. Congratulations to
both of our worthy winners; we are all so very proud of you!
